What do you think of models with heavily tattooed bodies?  Do you think it enhances or distracts from the look of the clothes they are modeling?

I love it as long as it doesn't overpower the print/design of the thing they're modelling :)

Thank you all.  I really appreciate your feedback.  Jessica, I agree, that a women can be beautiful with or without tattoos.  Brandi, pin up modeling can be different from modeling pin up clothes.  If the focus is on the model's body and not what she is wearing, then I agree with you, it doesn't make a difference.  My question is, do you feel excessive body art on models detracts from or enhances the clothes they are modeling?  I personally find it a little distracting.  I am trying to see the color and shape of the garment.  All that ink, especially on the heavily, "sleeved" models kind of get's in the way.

Thanks, Brandi.  I guess it's different for everyone.  I do like the clothing.  So, I'll try to over look the all the, as you said, "bold," body art.  Thanks for your input.  Much appreciated.

When it comes to this I'm more than just a little bit biased since I have a couple of tattoos already and am planning to get a lot more ;)

I think I see it the same way Jessica and Brandi have put it, in the end they're another avenue for some women express themselves creatively and or make a statement about themselves.

With or without I've never seen it as a distraction :)

Thanks for sharing, Tahitia.  Love your name by the way.  After posting this comment, I happen to be on You Tube looking for vintage hair and make up tutorials.  I came across a tutorial by Cherry Dollface.  Cherry has a lot of tattoos.  She is heavily sleeved and has tattoos on her back and chest as well.  I really like Cherry's tutorials and she seems like a friendly and nice person.  Like I said, I have nothing against tattoos.  However, I do find the ink to be a little distracting when looking at clothes.  Even in the tutorials, I was looking more at her body art than at her hair and make up.  Lol!  Thank you all for your feedback.  I really appreciate the responses.

Awww thank you for what you said about my name, you are really sweet :)

I think that I do know what you mean about how they can be distracting in a way, because the really special tattoos are the ones that truly stand out and command attention, and any attention that they command is attention that might be being taken away from whatever the tattooed model is modelling.

There are only so many places that your eyes can go to at once after all. So even though I personally love ink and I love seeing ink on people, I completely understand what you're talking about.

It's a great topic of discussion for sure :)
