Hey everyone! It's me Tahitia here and I just wanted to say that I've totally missed you guys so much. I haven't been checking in here as often as I'd like and that really has been too bad since you all have been such an amazing and positive force in my life.

The truth is that this has just come down to me working like crazy and not having that many free minutes to talk about flared skirts, high heels, bullet bras and all things pinup related. I just want you all to know though that I'm still the same pinup I was back in spring when I was dropping by to say hello more often and I still wear my PUG every single chance that I get.

Speaking of which, I was able to save up a few pennies (not that we even have pennies in Canada any more ;) ) to buy a few new items and I just wanted to take a second to share them with you here and now.

Enjoy!

Sailor Dress in Navy Dot & Vintage Style Sheer Hair Scarf in White

My husband actually saw this dress on PUG's Facebook page before I saw it and told me that he knew I'd be ordering it right away... he knows me very well :)

I'm not sure that there's been a PUG dress that screamed 1940's as much as this one does, it zippers up so easily in the back and it's very flattering on your waist. The open swing skirt design looks and flows perfectly at every possible occasion from wild and crazy swing dancing aerials to just walking with your special someone. Top it all off with the cutest white tie at the bottom of the neckline and you have a dress that can't miss.

When I finally do a 4th of July themed photoshoot I promise you that this dress will be making an appearance, this one definitely gets my recommendation.

As for the Vintage Style Sheer Hair Scarf I'm wearing as well, it's cute, light, durable and easy to tie up and always holds just like you need it too. It's a perfect quick and easy hair accessory to add if you want the pinup look and don't have all the time in the world to get there.

Another definite yes!

Vintage Style Sheer Hair Scarf in Red

Just like it's cousins in white and blue, you can't go wrong with this little addition to your pinup look. Trust me when I say that just like with the Vamp Tops, the more of these you have in every colour PUG makes the better!

Super Cute Knee Length Petticoat in Red & Black

Now let's get down to some pinup essentials that you don't always get to see, the petticoat! I bought my first petticoat from PUG back in the spring, the Super Cute Knee Length Petticoat in white and discovered right away why women have been wearing these for decades. They add so much volume and form to your pinup dresses and the knee length is just the right length to match almost all of the PUG dresses in your wardrobe with only a slight adjustment on where you let the petticoat sit waist wise depending on the length of your dress.

The only draw back was that for those occasions when you wanted the petticoat to peak out an inch the white colour wasn't always the right match, hence why I've picked up one in red and in black now. I should be covered now for any colour dress PUG throws my way.

As for the product shots here, well I didn't want Mosh to be the only one flashing the full view of her petticoats here :)

Vintage Style Star Wars Raglan Tee

When I found out that PUG was selling Star Wars licensed material I was already pretty psyched, when I got to see the Vintage Style Star Wars Raglan Tee I did my own little nerdgirl happy dance, and when it finally came in the mail I knew I'd be wearing this every single chance that I had.

This is my new favourite tee shirt, without a doubt. The artwork is gorgeous and really takes me back to the old Star Wars posters and artwork, the design and cut itself is wonderfully retro, and the fit is just loose enough to be comfortable without looking like it's one size too big.

This is definitely a must buy ladies, I can't recommend it enough.

What else can I say other than with a shirt this great, who needs pants? ;)

Alrighty then, before I get to bed tonight I just wanted to share a few updates from my Bucket List and my favourite blog and forum posts from the PUG neighbourhood.

Bucket List Update

I was able to get on a feature film as a background performer (extra) and had the most incredible time doing it! I don't know if you'll be able to see me in the final cut of the movie, but I'll definitley have to tell you all about the sets, the cast, and the whole experience once the movie's released.

It's a pretty big cast with a very big budget so I'm sure they'll be releasing the trailer soon. As for background performing in general this has been a really good experience so far and I've gotten to play a really fun and wide range of parts, from a nurse to a tourist to a bartender and quite a few others. This week I'm actually up for a part on a Canadian TV show (it's also on cable stateside) that is VERY front and centre a scene. There's a lot of competition for the part but I'm really excited just having the opportunity to try for it.

If I do get the part I promise to tell you all about it, it's supposed to go to camera this week so hopefully I'll have sometime to tell you soon :)

I got to wear a couple of PUG items to an open casting call for a TV series set in the 1930's/40's this week, here's the hoping that Pinup Girl Clothing scored me a few extra points with the casting director!

Coincidentally I got to wear another PUG outfit, the Heidi Dress in Leopard print to another open casting call this week, this one for a major fetish fashion show that's happening this October. One of the gentlemen running the audition told me I looked like Bettie Page in the dress, so I'm VERY sure PUG scored me some extra points there.

Again, if I get in on this fashion show I can't wait to tell you all about it! Now of course I realize that this really is the first year that I've given any of this a true, so I have no illusions about likely having to struggle for a bit longer until things start to break my way in these new endeavours, and I'm more than okay with that.

Good things come to those who wait... eh?

Alright, now it's time to have a look at my favourite blogs here on Pinup Girl Style :)

Around the PUG Style Blogosphere

Our friend Sammi told us about the boxes of presents she's busily organizing for her friends here at Pinup Girl Style through Leanna Bruce's PUG Pals Group in her PUGStyle Fun post, and Aoife told us all about the first two nights of her Five Nights of Fun with some very lovely pictures too. As always Aoife is nothing less than stunning btw :)

Amber told us all about her new Summer PUG outfits, I absolutely love her Laura Byrnes High Waisted Trousers and Heidi in Royal Blue, Tonya L De Marco shared with us some great unedited shots from her Varga Photography Pin Up Shoot and Kitten Monroe invited us to spend a day with her and her vlog in a day in the Life of Marilyn in downtown Toronto! Seriously if I knew that there was a Marilyn Monroe impersonator in Toronto I would have been hanging out with her long ago ;)

Alright, now it's time to have a look at what's going on with the Pinup Girl Style forums!

Forum Time :)

Suzanna Baker asked us all who our Favourite YouTube Tutorial or Guru was? Mine's Cherry Dollface hands down :) Alejandra Chavez asked What to Wear to a Car Show, that's a really tough one actually. Aleise Heart asked for some advice on putting together a Pinup Villain Costume, I so can't wait to see how that turned out and luisa thomas asked for our help in coming up with a name for her two person musical act in Duete name...Help please girls!!

Last but never least Leanna Bruce's thread on the Favourite Foods Blog continues to get new posts with foods from around the world, keep on sharing ladies because this is an absolutely incredible idea of Leanna's and every new food item you share is another easy, fun, healthy or guilty pleasure dish that we can all try together some time.

In Conclusion...

So that's that for now ladies. Like I said, I feel absolutely terrible that I haven't been able to be as active on the site here as I'd like, but I haven't forgotten how amazing you all have been to me and never forget how greatful I am that you've accepted me as one of your own :)

So this summer I'm looking forward to at least one major part in an episode of a TV series, a very busy August TV/Movie production schedule, a very big burlesque performance at the end of August that already has the attention of a TV producer I'm hoping to work with, a burlesque tour at the end of summer that will definitely put my troupe and it's creator Mz Kitty DeMure on the international burlesque map, and very fun Fan Expo weekend featuring Miss Carrie Fisher herself and a Slave Leia photoshoot.

All and all I hope to have a lot to update you on by the time September ends :) I'm always on Facebook and Twitter if you guys want to talk some time, don't hesitate to look me up. Stay true to yourselves and I can't wait to talk to you all again.

Take care and hugs,

Tahitia

I'm so glad I made you laugh Jessica! That joke was my hubby's idea from a while ago, I was just waiting until I found a shirt I loved enough to use it with ;)

It does suck when we have to spend so much time away from the site doesn't it? That's just life though, at least we can still catch up like this now and again right? As long as we can keep catching up like this we'll be fine :)

You went zip-lining? That's so awesome Jessica! Keep on doing everything that you're doing and have a great summer sweetie :)

Wait, what - there's no pennies in Canada?

I love the Star Wars tshirt, I was looking at them the other day as I was having a pre-shop browse, but they'll have to wait until another month for me, although it was the R2D2 tank that caught my eye.

OMG I LOVE that shirt! I am so putting it on my wish-list. Petticoats are adorable! I hope you're having fun being a movie extra :), especially since it's on your bucket list. What is the name of the film if I may ask? I would love to see it when it comes out :)

@Sammi Nope! We did away with them earlier this year, now we round to the nearest nickle :)

That R2D2 tank is absolutely adorable isn't it! You should definitely pick one up whenever you can.

@Brandi Those petticoats are the best aren't they? I can't believe I was wearing PUG's dresses for so long without them now. Also I wouldn't trade our catching up on the phone with eachother for anything in the world, you are seriously an incredible friend :)

@Brandy C. You'll absolutely love this shirt Brandy and yes those petticoats totally finish every dress! I've had so much fun being a movie extra yes but at the end of the day it is a job and just like every other job it has it's positives and it has it's negatives. I'm still doing it because the positives outweigh the negatives, but no job is ever perfect.

I REALLY do want to tell you all about the movie but just to be safe I'm going to hold off on sharing any details just so that I don't get into any trouble with the producers. After the movie comes out next winter I promise to tell you guys all about it :)
