PUGStyle Fun

Today, I added a few more things to my "box of presents" for the ladies in the PUG Pals! group.

I'm not lucky enough to live near a vintage store, other than ones selling furniture and ornaments; the closet I can come to small vintage things is car boot sales - and there are plenty of those about in summer.

We only went to one today, but I managed to pick up a few little things for myself, and I found a couple of things to add to various packages for my new friends here.

I'm both excited and nervous to organise these parcels - I am really shy/nervous with new people, and while I find the internet easier for a huge amount of reasons, I still feel like I'm really putting myself out there, and that makes me nervous - heck even just writing that makes me nervous.

Also, I hate my current profile photo - it's all shiny, and I have no make up on, and you can see all the random stuff pinned to my fridge; but it's better (for this site, at least!) than a collie.

Plan of attack this week: new profile photo; organise parcels and look at starting to send them off.

Sounds like you had fun today! I bet the recipients of the parcels will be in for such a treat with the treasures you can find at car boots! I too am in the PUG Pals group and can't wait to start sending parcels, just not sure where to start!

I am happy that we can see your smiling face. Don't worry. We will wait for a new photo from you, when you get the chance. What I love about pin up/retro glamour is that it is all about taking what we were born with and making the most of it. In other words it is all about looking your best and feeling good about it. I can see by your smile that you feel good about yourself. And I guarantee that us regulars here are really good about giving positive feedback.

Even though I've only been here a little while, I know you're right Brandi - it's just the way I am that I worry a lot about how I come across and suchlike.  I'm hoping that one day I'll grow out of it though :)

I thought your profile photo was pretty, although in the little box you look like you're about to go swimming. I'm organizing parcels myself and halfway through getting stuff I realized I should have started doing one at a time because now I have tons of stuff and not one package is finished yet! But it's fun to get stuff, I only hope that everyone likes getting stuff enough to not hugely care what it is ^_^  -

I think it's really awesome what you're doing with these parcels Sammi! I'm sure all the lucky ladies you send a package to will absolutely love you for them.

I totally agree with you Brandy, I think just getting the package in of itself will be an enormous deal ;)
