PUG Yardsale Finds & Fixing the Sailor Swing Dress!

I had been gushing over alot of PUG dresses before the PUG yardsale event was even mentioned, so to my surprise I was delighted to find out about it. I had never been to an event before and I didnt know what to expect, but I knew I had to go! (My boyfriend was the main reason I made it, he made sure I woke up extra early to be there on time :) ). When I arrived to my surprise there was an extremely long line of ladies already waiting (I got there an hr early), I kinda paniked inside thiking I would not get much of anything, but I was still pretty excited!. I finnaly made it inside and realized many of the racks were already empty (sad face), but I did reconized one beautiful red dress in my size and took it!... I thought to myself why would somebody just leave it here (lonely)...then I noticed a permanent marker stain on it but decided to take it anyways. I left home with 2 gorgeous dresses (the sailor swing dress and the garden party- a seven year itch inspired marilyn dress), and decided to get to work if I wanted to wear that red gorgeous one soon!....

I decided to read up on the Internet what was good for removing permanent marker, and realized it was going to be more simpler than I thought...all I needed was alcohol and alot of patience :). All I did was dab on alcohol and cleaned it up with swabs to absorb the ink. I rinsed with water and let dry (in the pic above you can already see the stain was fading).

Ta-da!!!!!! Good as new!...so very excited to wear it this weekend!!...(I got a minnie mouse party to go to!)

Going to the PUG yardsale was an amazing experience, Everyone was soo friendly and many girls looked gorgeous wearing the items, its truly a universal brand that emphesizes a womans natural beauty and form, I cant wait to put mine on! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Well done! I got there after noon. And I managed to find two dresses and a pair of Hello Kitty pumps (what a trip). I don't think I'd go to another yardsale. But now I can say that I've done it at least once.

Good job with fixing up that marker stain!

Oh wow you found that dress?? It was jammed packed but great stuff. I saw a bunch of cute stuff also some of it had marker stains like yours so at the time I didn't even think of how to get it off. Nice thinking. Congrats.
