Petite Pinup - Shorter Styles for Your Closet

So often I see girls post about us making petite sizing, but we actually carry several styles that work great for our little ladies. Though any of our styles can be easily hemmed to fall at a flattering length, these styles will not need a stitch! I find it helpful to look at the models stats on the lower left side of the image, it helps me to know the length the dress will be on myself.

This is made of a super comfy cotton spandex material, that is easy to pull on and wear. The length is perfect since it is babydoll length. It comes in 3 different styles; Octopus, Mermaid and Tipsy Elephant.

$88.00

Pinup Couture - Luscious Dress

This is the Sourpuss Pineapple dress, that is so perfect for a petite pinup, I am 5'9 in flats and this falls several inches above my knees. This dress is great, light weight material, flowy and stretchy. Perfect to wear on its own or paired with tights or pants!

$48.00

Sourpuss - Doll Baby Pineapple Dress

One of my favorite dresses, the tike print is just the MOST! The model Masuimi Max is 5'7 and it falls at her knees. This Netti dress is made of high quality stretch sateen that has amazing weight, and movement. The fabric is wet printed, so the pigment is rich and the hand is soft. The adjustable straps, allows it to have a flexible fit.

$98.00

Pinup Couture - Netti Tiki Dress

This saucy little number has tons of gold lurex woven into it, that catches the light beautifully. The model Doris Mayday, is 5'8 and is the perfect 1960's length on a shorter gal. The dress is lined and can really add the right glitz to any gala.

$124.00

The Spangle Party Dress

The Sadie dress embodies everything that some of my favorite vintage dresses. The boarder print, is so classy and  gorgeous. The lovely model Rileah Vanderbilt from Team Unicorn is 5'7 and the length falls a few inches above the knees. The pleats open up from the bust and flow beautifully to showcase the print.

$108.00

Pinup Couture - Sadie Dress

The Vanessa dress is so classy and well made, and has a different look depending on your height. The Vanessa dress on Doris has a more 1960's mini feel since she is 5'8, however on Bernie Dexter who is much shorter it has a very 1950's vibe. This dress comes with a cute adjustable belt and faux button collar. We have this lovely number in several colors.

$96.00

Heartbreaker - Vanessa Dress

Now you can't forget cute separates! The Audrey Skirt is one of my personal favorite skirts, I wear my black one constantly. The model, Natasha Aasadore is 5ft and this hits just at her knees, yet it is still a modest length for my 5'9 frame. This skirt comes in a multitude of colors and prints, and it is made of cotton sateen so you couldn't ask for anything better!

$78.00

Great post Micheline!  As a petite girl your best friend is a good tailor; dresses, skirts and pants can all be taken in or taken up to assure a correct fit.  Because I have short legs I shrunk my DD denim cigarette pants and had the black twill version taken up by a tailor for a perfect look.

PUG is such a great company because it accommodates all sizes of women to make us look sexy and feel confident!

Thank you for this post Micheline! I'm 5'1 and always a little bit afraid to wear wiggle dress because that's always made me look more smaller

I'm not petite, but thank you nonetheless for this very informative post. I'm sure a lot of petite ladies will appreciate it.

I have two garments from this blog post and I would say they are probably on the medium to larger end of the petite scale (possibly even for the other styles too). I have 9 items from PUG and every one will need altering in some way. The Audrey skirt would most likely work for petites - it ALMOST fits me...

The Sadie will need alteration before I can wear it at all. I'm 4'11''.

I'm 5' feet as well and the dresses will need a bit of alteration but, nothing I can't fix :) I'm really glad you acknowledge us petite girls.
