This weekend I was digging through my mom's pictures and thought I'd share some with you.  I know many of you have an appreciation, like me, for all things vintage.

This beauty is my mom - look at that hair.  :-)

And this looker is my pops - I love his glasses.

Mom going to prom in 1967 or 68.

Here is their wedding picture from 1969

And lastly - check out my grandma in her leopard coat!  And she's wearing winter boots of some sort.  This was probably taken in the late 40's/early 50's.

Aww love these, thanks for posting'em! :) Grandma was quite the stylish vixen. That wedding dress your mom is wearing is really pretty, I love lace. Also, you're dad is kinda cute :)

Ok.. now you have me wondering how your parents met, and what's the full story behind some of these pictures :)

Thank you SO much for posting these Amber! I definitely agree with Brandi that your Grandma rocked her look, I just love her hair in that last picture especially :)

Your mothers prom picture is just the cutest too.

OMG! I absolutely LOVE these vintage photos! love love love! These are so exciting to see. I just love going through my our family photo albums just to see the fashion, etc. It's so funny because my dad kind of looks like your dad in the photos here! They both had the same type of glasses. Let me show you! These are from late 50's, I believe. (My dad is the tall one on the left, then my mom, aunt, grandmother, and grandfather. This is my parents at 18 years old.)  ;o)

Wonderful! I need to bust out the photo books. My maternal grandmother was quite the stylish vixen herself. Heck, she had my mom take her to the mall to buy "red shoes for your father" a few years back. She was already in her 70's. XD
I have photos of my Papa with his motorcycle - he looks like a cross between Elvis and Marlon Brando.

My other side of the family - I should bust out photos by my great-grandfather the photographer. Anybody wanna see one of a kind photos of the opening of Gone With the Wind? Pappy was there shooting. I remember a couple of cool Vivien Leigh photos from that. The HAIR made me sigh.

Ok, gonna go harass Dad about that...

I'm glad you guys are enjoying the pics! Brandi - mom and dad both grew in a small town and met in high school. :) Mom graduated in 1968, they got married in 1969. They had just moved into their first house and the first piece of mail they got were my dad's draft papers to Vietnam. :( So off he went to basic and was stationed in Missouri. My sister was born in July 1970 and my dad shipped off to Vietnam in August or September 1970. Luckily he was only gone a year and came back safe and sound.

Jessica - I love your pictures! Your mom looks like a princess in her wedding gown!

Jenna - I am a HUGE GWTW fan! I would love to see your Pappy's photos!

That was fun, Amber. I especially like your grandmother's coat and I would love to see the outfit she was wearing underneath! It looked really interesting.  Thanks.
