Hi Eveybody! My name is Lori Anne. I am one of the newest team members here at Pinup Girl and I serve as Photo Assistant.

I have only been at Pinup Girl for a mere 3 months, but what a whirlwind it has been.  I have been working as a professional and freelance photographer for almost 7 years and received my Bachelor’s in Fine Art Photography in 2006, but I must say, nothing had prepared me for the adventure that is Team P.U.G..  Since starting for the company I have seen countless naked models, been yelled by a bum and assisted on and shot over a dozen amazing and exhilarating photo shoots.  My introduction to P.U.G. came just a few weeks after starting work, when I had the honor to be a part of the amazing grand opening for the Pinup Girl Boutique in Burbank.  Any of you gals who attended may have seen me, I was the blonde in the white Garden Party dress that was literally thrown on stage during Laura’s impromptu fashion preview. It really was an amazing night and what a way to make a splash into the team.

Just to add a few tid bits about myself, I am a So Cal native and avid collector of 1950’s vintage fashion and housewares. Basically I love shopping, dancing, drinking and rock n’ roll! I am a regular at many of the So. Cal. Rockabilly and 50’s music shindigs as well as a few of the international Rockabilly Weekenders. This is all thanks in part to the fact that I am married to a die-hard Rockabilly DeeJay who originally hails all the way from the Empire of Japan, Mr. DJ Satoshi.

As part of the P.U.G. team, and in serving as the Photo Assistant, I am involved in a ton of the critical processes of creating images of the remarkable garments we offer. I was able to start by getting in on the ground floor of our Fall fashion season. I began by scouting locations (With the help of the resourceful Ms. Natasha) and selecting models that fit the moods and themes Laura wants to reflect in the photos. From there I work hands on packing and setting equipment,  dressing models and general gofering on set, followed by editing all the images and adding them to the site for all to see.  Another exciting aspect of the job is also when I get to shoot for the site.

Working with the incredible team of models and artists, not to mention the to-die-for clothing, and seeing my images on the site is such a thrill!!

With all my interests and tastes, I must say my new career here at Pinup Girl is truly a dream come true. Although the job is not all glamour and elegance, it’s a pretty amazing gig, working with some pretty amazing people!!
