I have only just recently discovered the joys of PUG style and have totally fallen in love with the whole look. I want to update my look, style etc but at the moment lack the confidence to be daring, cause where I live jean shorts, thongs and t-shirts are the go.

I've been there too, Karen! I only recently embraced my love of PUG clothing and I'm so glad I did. I'll say, the first time I went out in public in my first dress, I was really self-conscious. I was at a wedding and people kept staring and pointing. For someone who's always made it a point to blend in, it was really hard when I realized that was no longer going to be an option in this type of clothing. If you can get past that, it's well worth it! I still get stared at in my dresses but I get a lot of positive feedback as well, which gives me the confidence boost to continue. Separates are definitely helpful as well as you can dress them up or down. My own personal issue is going on to certain events and not knowing how to dress. My good friends are in a band and play in bars...I personally want to wear some of my dresses out, but in a place where tank tops and jeans are the norm, how do you do it without looking strange? That's my own current dilemma.

Victoria, I would wear the outfits you buy at PUG to the bar a "wiggle" dress wouldn't be out of place.  I also know what you mean about wanting to "blend" in but I have done that for years and I think it is time for a change ...

Agreed! It's kind of empowering to stand out from the crowd. Thanks for the suggestion too, I actually just purchased the Mary Ann dress in black and was thinking of sporting that to their next show. I used to hate getting dressed/buying clothes because most of the stuff in malls made me feel bad about my shape, but now I LOVE clothes and getting dressed up. It's great to finally feel like your clothes work for your body :)
