I got Michelined and T-Boned at the PUG Beauty Bar!

I was very lucky to be invited to attend The Magic Castle here is Los Angeles.  It's invite only and apparently hard to get in unless you are a member, so I decided to go all out! I follow Tony of His Vintage Touch on Instagram (@atomictantrum) and every picture is more fabulous than the last. I went into the boutique one day and he was styling a lady for her event that evening. I introduced myself and he was so fabulous and nice I booked my appointment right then and there for the special night. A few days before my appointment I got a phone call from Doris Mayday, who manages the boutique. She informs me that Micheline Pitt will be in the boutique the day of my hair appointment and asks if I also wanted my make up done by her. uhm...YES! I have attended both of Micheline's make up classes and the woman is a true artist and genius. I immediately though to myself "omg, eyebrows!" hahah as many of you already know she is a self proclaimed eyebrow snob and perfectionist, also my eyebrow guru.
*******************************************
The day of my appointment I show up with no make up and
natural hair...SCARY!! So Tony AKA "T-Bone" worked and curled my hair with so much ease. He is awesome, and he made me feel super comfortable and made me laugh the whole time. We decided to go with BIG hair, since I was wearing the Priscilla dress in Lavender. He suggested a big teased side pony and one of his signature waves for the front. I told him he had free range and I trusted him, I mean hello...he styles PUG hair!
This is a silly pic of him in the middle of teasing my hair
Then is was my turn on Micheline's chair. I let her know I wanted a 60's look to go with the hair and I referenced her photo from her Make Up DVD that is coming out at Viva Las Vegas in March. This girl keeps it real, and I love her for it. She told me that she would modify it and change the color because the white wouldn't look as good on my skin tone. Which is so true, I usually use gold/browns. She then gave me some pointers for non-chola eyebrows and went to work. While she was making smokey eye magic she kept asking me to look up, this was my favorite part because every time I looked up there is a giant GORGEOUS photo of Masuimi Max looking back at you. She told me she had brought crazy lashes, I got super excited because I really wanted bottom lashes for this look.
After she was done I couldn't believe the mirror. Here are some close ups:

And of course I had to get a photo with Micheline,
the woman designs half my closet and turned me
into a glamazon with her magic make up skills!
T-Bone proceeded to make some finishing touches on the hair.
Then as my luck has it, because they were filming for a documentary in the store,
Laura Byrnes herself was in store. So the designer of my dress helped me
put her dress on and decided on accessories with me.
Which is pretty freaking cool!
In the last year and a half of finding Pinup Girl Clothing and it's community, I have found my style and fallen in love with my body. Shopping in the past prooved to be incredibly frustrating and a confidence killer. I'm too big for normal stores but too small for plus size stores. I usually ended up crying and then spend all my money on shoes or sunglasses since those always fit. I HATED shopping for clothes before PUG, now I absolutely love it. Slowly but surely my closet keeps growing and I love dressing up. I love to show off the curves I used to hide and have a confidence that I never thought possible. Thank you Pinup Girl Clothing, I have never felt so glamorous in my LIFE!
XOXO

OMG Agueda, you look SO amazing!! I love the Priscilla on you...the color is just divine on you, too. To have the best of the best assist with getting glamoured and dolled up is so cool!  And I know what you mean.  I'm seriously getting to be comfortable in my skin, and I'm loving it, too.  I NEED to just make a trip out there already.
