Do You Loan Out Pug? (bit of a rant here)

I've never had a problem with loaning out clothes to my close friends/family. But I've just loaned out my all time favorite dress ever which happens to be a Monica size XS to my sister with the warning that it might not fit her (she's an M or an S if she wears it tight) but she wanted to try. And then she gave it back to me today after apparently having some of the side seams let out so that it would fit her.

I just don't know what to say and am trying to ignore the materialistic b*** side of me that wants to not talk to her for at least a year.

Anyone else have any experiences loaning out pug or is it just a NO at all times?

On another note. Does anyone have a size XS Monica they want to sell?

Never loan out anything that you would like to get back, or expect to come back to you in good condition. Ever. It's unfortunate, but people aren't as careful with another person's property as they are with their own (my mother taught me to care for loans better than I cared for my "owns", but that's not common these days).

I am so sorry for your Monica. How dare she alter a dress that didn't belong to her? The nerve!

I do the same with the caring for things, and I have one or two really close friends who take care of clothes as much as I do so I guess I've just never had 'that' problem before. (well with books definitely yes, I don't loan those out anymore either),

it sort of sucks because with the price tag, Pug makes a nice 'communal' buy ha :)

What the holy fuck?! :/  Who does that??

I've never had anything like that happen to me, but then again I don't loan out clothing period. I would NEVER want to loan out any of my PUG, that's for sure! I completely agree with Kat. Chances are that the person you're loaning to, won't care as much about the item as you do. When someone loans something to me, I take good care of it, because that's what I would want. Though as pointed out above, that's rare :/

I agree, my PUG clothes are holy to me and I would really have to know that someone cares as much for them as I do before loaning them out. Thankfully, no one in my family or friends wear PUG-clothes and if they would, I am not the same size..... so problem solved! :)

On a side note.... I don't understand the nerve that your sister had to do that.... I am totally flabbergasted!

well it was her Graduation party so I guess she figured she had extra rights to clothes ha

but I thing you ladies are all correct, no more loaning out pug... Ever ,  ha

That was pretty inconsiderate of your sister =/ Can you possibly go to the same seamstress with your sister and have your sister pay to have those seams taken in again? So that the dress fits you again? It'd be better than buying a whole new one and I'm sure she got a little $ as gifts for her graduation.

ha, her seamstress was a pair of scissors, I do work myself and I can fix it

but I figured if she wanted it enough to edit it without even asking, she should have it :)

I'll probably get a new one before Christmas and maybe in another color,

LOL, don't loan her dresses anymore, otherwise she will alter them too just too get them as a gift :D

I would never loan her clothes again, ever! I would be so pissed, my eyes are watering just thinking about it! I only have a brother and he doesn't want to share my clothes, so I lucked out there lol.  PUG is too expensive to loan out, my sister-in-law has mentioned things about borrowing each others clothes, and I politely agree but I don't think I would loan out my expensive stuff.  We aren't exactly the same size.

As for your sister, I would make her buy me a new one since she ruined it, or at the very least pay to get it fixed.

Yikes! and frowny face =o(      Scissors to Monica?? ahhh!  I hope you find another Monica soon chica!

No one has ever asked me if they could borrow a PUG piece of mine...but I suppose if I thought about it...I know for sure that I wouldn't. Selfish? perhaps. LOL!!
