Hi Everyone,

I have decided to creat a blog...all things Appleton - which is my cupcake business Appleton Bakery, my new found staionary arm of the business for wedding invitations, hand made cards etc Appleton Stationary, and Appletons own pin up girl, me!

So its very basic and trying very hard to fill it with some great 2012 stuff before we move into 2013! Hope you guys like it so far! Its a place I will update of all things cupcakey, pretty, girly, from my cakes, new outfits, all things burlesque, new stores or websites I visit, anything I think a like minded lady may be interested in really!

Leanne that blog is just fantastic, it sounds like you had a fun and brilliant year.

Your cupcakes and invitations look beautiful and congrats on getting to meet Dita Von Teese! If it wasn't for this site I would never have found so many blogs by hard working, talented and gorgeous women like yourself ;)

P.S. I LOVE your bangs!

I just saw those 2 new posts of yours, that really sounds interesting about your partner exploring ancient trees in South Africa and I'm glad to hear you had an awesome New Years Eve with just the right people that you wanted to be with :) I know from experience that that always makes for the best times :) Those are also some great resolutions for the New Year, I wish you all the luck with them and feel free to let us know how they work out.

As for other blogs to check out, of course there's our very own Cela's blog Pacifiers & Pinups. She's a true retro pinup girl at heart writing about how to be a pinup in a crazy hectic and always busy world and really has a lot of great ideas and advice. Another great one is the Midnight Maniac, I found hers when someone here posted a link to her tips for cold weather pinup attire, she really put together some of the best winter pinup looks that I've ever seen.

Another awesome read is Vintage at Heart from our fellow PUG lady Harlow Napalm, she's so knowledgeable, is willing to help out others with advice and just brims with beauty and confidence, and I absolutely lover her style! There's also Super Kawaii Mama, she has a lot of great tutorials and she really goes out of her way to share all that she knows.

The next one that I'd recommend is Gertie's New Blog for Better Sewing, she's a seamstress that loves the pinup style and everything about it. I found hers when Margrete started her thread on wearing bullet bra's for newbies and I did some google research to see what other ladies impressions were, and found hers. After Gertie we have our last blog courtesy of Sarah's and her Chronicles of an Eccentric, she's a writer who's chronicling her love of the pinup look and everything that makes life worth living.

Those are the ones that I've come across through shared links here on or just searching the web since I joined Pinup Style. I hope they help and I can't wait to read more of your posts in 2013!

Also I'm glad you liked my bucket list! I was nervous at first when I decided to make it and then share it since you never know how people will react, and if they'll react negatively to it. So far though the reaction's been very positive and I'm so happy for that :)

I've totally fallen in love with Pinterest too, it really is perfect for bucket lists and so many other things like you said :)

Thought I'd share my blog again with you guys - I have got the posting bug and have lots of stuff to show you now. My blog is about a bit of everything, fashion, beauty, movies, cupcakes, stationary, events in my life, burlesque and caberet scene etc so very varied. At the moment I am running lots of interviews with famous UK burlesque performers and models that may be an interest.Worth a look! x
