The 'Big Reveal' Before the 'Big Reveal' ;)

Hi ladies, I've been pretty quiet for a while and I wont bore you with why, but I thought I'd share these with you all here before I share them with the rest of the world on my blog tomorrow.  It'd be nice to know what you all think of them!…

Lindy Bop Dress Review

'Lindy Bop' began life in 2011, and brings affordable style and inspiration from the 1950s to women across the globe.  They're best know for their vintage inspired dresses, but their online shop stocks a nice few surprises too, in the form of Ruby Shoo shoes…

Being Me

Since my teens, I've pretty much been dancing to the beat of my own drummer; in fact, I can genuinely remember the one and only time in my teens I liked a fashion trend, rather than just wearing what I liked (Leanna and others from the UK may remember the slouchy boots that were generally worn with mini skirts - that was the first time in a long time I'd worn a skirt).

Anyway, the point I'm attempting to get at (badly, of course ;) ) is that - at least as far as clothes are concerned…

Reasons I Love PUG, Number 1

So last night I decided to look online at a big UK chain clothing retailer who has a store near to me.  I need/want a "proper" coat for summer - something that will work with skirts & dresses on cooler days, and for work (I leave the house just after 6am, so it's usually cool at that time of day for at least another month or so).

The website loaded, and as I hovered over the 'women' menu and looked for 'coats & jackets' my eyes came to rest on a heading that read '£10…

Being Me...

I’ve had the topic of this post on my mind for a few days, and was spurred into action upon seeing a tweet by a company attempting to goad people into making a purchase with them by saying that certain celebrities “looked great!” at a recent event and that one could “get the look” in store or on-line (how convenient).

Much to various (and mostly female) family member’s disdain I have never been one to follow “fashion”.  While I was very young, I obviously had my clothes bought for me,…

Shopping Saturday!

So I get paid in the middle of the month.  It's a bit weird, I guess but it works for me.  Usually, the first Saturday after pay day I take off to our nearest "city" and have a bit of a spend.  I figure the short car trip is cheaper than postage for one or two places, and I get to have a browse around too!

After much complaining about work and suchlike, my other half decided to accompany me, which made a nice change.  On Friday night he found out that one of the villages between…

The Things That Spur You On...

I had a realisation this weekend.

My parents took my other half and I, plus my sister and her two kids out, to celebrate their wedding anniversary that was earlier in the month.  My other half and I have busy lives and work schedules, so my parents et us choose the date, meal (lunch or dinner), and location.  We choose lunch, and it was this past Saturday; and we went to my favourite Italian restaurant, called Casa Romana.  I actually used to work there when I was doing my GCSE's, and…

PUGStyle Fun

Today, I added a few more things to my "box of presents" for the ladies in the PUG Pals! group.

I'm not lucky enough to live near a vintage store, other than ones selling furniture and ornaments; the closet I can come to small vintage things is car boot sales - and there are plenty of those about in summer.

We only went to one today, but I managed to pick up a few little things for myself, and I found a couple of things to add to various packages for my new friends…

Hello PUGStyle!

Wow, am I happy to have found this site?  If only it was around when I first started looking at, lusting after, and occasionally buying from PUG, but that was - what seems to be - a long time ago now.

Sadly, I got rid of all my PUG stuff (which make it sound like I had loads, I didn't), soon after I found out my newly ex-boyfriend had been wearing it - among other things - in secret/behind my back.

So, now I'm finally in a place where I want to be 'me' again, and 'me' includes…
