Lily Fawn is one half of the award winning, unstoppable vaudeville-rock duo, Hank Pine and Lily Fawn, formed 2005, from Fantasy Island – Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Many have claimed that this drum poundin', saw playin', tap dancin', ukulele strumin', trumpet blowin' singer and song writer fell out of a lullaby fairytale from 1923.
After a short stint as a one of the chorus dancers in the Tea House Girls and a collaborative theatrical performance with the Atomic Vaudeville Cabaret Series, Lily started to write and perform solo, liking herself to the "bright young thing" generation and living up to the words of Canadian Vaudeville performer Eva Tanguay (1902), "It's all been done before, but not the way I do it". LMonroe, Helen Kane or Blossom Dearie.
Lily Fawn, whom you may find drinking bootleg gin and swinging from chandeliers, has musical roots in punk rock but her heart was born for jazz and musical saw playing this side of Marlene Dietrich. Lily’s little voice and earnest delivery sounds like a long lost relative of Marilyn Monroe, Helen Kane or Blossom Dearie. Her style is uniquely hers as she delivers adorable helium-voiced songs on ukelele with charm to burn. Her writing style is light-hearted, fanciful and funny. Suitable for all audiences.
. "Lily's Lullabies" (debut solo alum), released in 2011 by Northern Electric Vancouver Record Label, shows off Lily's earnest ability for storytelling; fairytales and murderess love songs .
