okay, pardoning the fact that I look like an idiot at almost 3 Am (yes I'm going to bed in a minute) this is the start of what I was talking about for 'editing' your shirt'  this stage you just cut out the shoulders and hem. you can do it v-style to get a bit of cleavage but I like to put it slightly off shoulder. As you can see the hem isn't quite straight yet but I've just started so I thought i would update you. If you want to give it a try my next step is going to be making it more fitted, (you can do that by tying up the back as well which works quite nicely without any sewing) but I haven't decided if I want to shorten the sleeves or not as well. I probably will :) and then you can add a pussybow or tie to the neck as well so long as it doesn't get in the way (for that you just need a cheap scarf) 

currently my sewing machine is on the other side of the ocean though so just hemming the neckline takes a few hours :)
