I've been dressing like this since before there was a 'Pin Up Girl' Style tag. Before rockabilly was anything other than a style of music and before anyone thought of making money from hair, makeup, charm schools, pinup photography, pin up competitions. I just always liked the 40s/50s style and glamour and decided that's who I was. I raised my now grown children with me dressing this way and living the livestyle. Friends of my kids said visiting our house was like going to 'Pleasantville'.
I've never regretted the step outside the box and always felt completely comfortable in my individuality. I'm so glad that more women now want to be real women and celebrate their curves rather than waste away to represent some distorted media view of what is currently in fashion.
