I am in the process of growing my hair out from the Mia Farrow type haircut I had, and below is a picture of what it looks like now. It's not quite to my chin yet. I mostly hairspray and tease it to death 'til it looks like the 2nd photo.

Any suggestions of styles to wear it in? Tips?

Much thanks ladies! :)

I used to have ultra short hair as well and am in the process of growing it out. Just for the record I think short hair really suits you. Anyway get a whole heap of baby bobby pins and other cute slides and accessories. I used to grab pieces of hair and then twist them and pin them down, I experimented a lot with it and loved some of the styles I was able to get. I particularly liked getting little clips with motifs on them...

I agree, hair accessories are your best friend. You have bangs so you could definitely rock some retro headbands or maybe try some flower clips.

Pin curls all over except the bangs. And your hair is perfect for bandanas. Get lots of different colours and rock it for daytime, thatw way your nighttime look will be different. The thing about short hair is that it always looks the same, this will give you the different looks while you grow it out.

I was thinking the same thing as Soozi.  Curly would be super cute!  When I had a chin length bob, I would just curl it all over with a 1 inch curling iron, pin the curls or wrap them around curlers until they cooled and my make-up was done and then just finger combed.  It was super easy and could be jazzed up with flowers or fun clips.  Very much ala Gina Lollobrigida http://mfwright.com/lollobrigida12.jpg or Marilyn Monroe http://www-tc.pbs.org/wnet/americanmasters/files/2008/08/610_monroe...

welcome

I had a pixie cut 2 years ago & managed to let it grow near to a bra strap lenght  and only trim it 3 times in 2 years.

What did I do ? Nothing.

Trying to do almost nothing to your hair is the key to letting your hair grow back healthy !

I switched from chemical dye to henna... started using organic shampoo bar+vinegar rince & coconut oil for treatment (nothing more)... stopped blow drying it... mostly curled it with rollers & pincurls and avoid heat as much as possible. Washing it 3 times a week to the max helps the hair to rest also.

My advice ? buy some cute bandanas, chiffon and silk scarves and cover your hair this way until it has reached a past chin lenght so you can pincurl it & create this famous short MM curly hair :).

Best of luck darling !

And there you can see it's real lenght (sorry about the silly face & the wet hair hahaha ! )
