I have asked this question on a few PUG areas but everyone seems to ignore it. Pardon my ignorance but why is Día de Muertos such an interacted part of Pin-up? I am new to the PUG world and trying to learn.
I think everyone chooses the element of pinup that they most connect with. Sometimes it's a classic "rosie" look, sometimes it's lots of tattoo and piercings. I've attached an article that talks a little more about what makes a great pin-up. Hint It's not about the facial expressions or even the clothes...http://www.pinuppassion.com/pin-up-style.html
Good luck to you finding your style.
