Being a petite, short, child like person in stature, this dress surprisingly fits me amazingly. That's right, surprisingly amazingly.
But wait! If you are not petite, don't stop reading!
I started a discussion calling for other petite, tiny girls: http://www.pinupgirlstyle.com/forum/topics/are-there-any-other-teen...
As you can see, there's a bunch of us and it's unanimous that fitted clothes are hard to come by.
So can I make it clear just how well this dress fits me!? To give you an idea of how small I am, I once tried out for the role of scale double as a hobbit. A HOBBIT. The irony is that I ended up being one of the tallest women there. Ha! That'll be joy that I'll never get to experience again...
Out of all the Pinup Girl garments I own, this is the one that fits me the best and the one I wear most often. I'm 31.5, 25, 30 and 4'11" (80, 63.5, 76 and 151cm)   <----------- annoying teeny tiny measurements

The dress is very fitted in the bust and waist which never happens for me. There has been a size change in the garment since 26/02/2012 (check the size chart). Thankfully I ordered mine before the size increase or else I don't think it'd fit me as well in the bust area. Being so short, the dress doesn't hang too low either. It hits me a bit below the knee (even though it doesn't look that way in the photo, trust me it does). I prefer my dresses to sit just above the knee and will aim to hem it one day but for now it's fine. So ladies who posted in the above thread, this dress will be perfect for you! I should add however that there is minimal stretch so order up if you are in between sizes.

Now if you are not petite, that doesn't matter. This dress will fit women of all sizes! It's just miraculous that the Dee Dee fits petite girls like me so well. Like all Pinup Couture garments, this dress is stocked in an XS-2X. If you look at photos on PUG it's perfect on the both stunning Gia Genevieve and Masuimi Max. The fan photos of the gals in 2X look dashing also. Don't take my word for it, go look for yourself!

Dee Dee has some really nice touches. First off, the blue and violet floral print is incredibly striking, beautiful and eye catching. I feel as though all eyes are on me where ever I go. I could list off so many adjectives to describe how alluring this print is. The fabric is a luxe cotton sateen which has a nice thickness to it. You know those flimsy, thin cotton garments where the cold hits you right through your clothes on a slight breezy day? Well the Dee Dee won't do that. The thickness of the cotton sateen keeps you warm. That is not to say you can't wear it in the summer unless you live in an ultra hot place similar to that of HELL. Say if you live in cities that hit around 25C+ (77F+), then NO. JUST NO. I live in New Zealand and our summers aren't comparable to some of which you experience. We average about a max high of 21C (70F) so I could probably wear the Dee Dee in those temperatures. I reckon with the thickness of the fabric, this dress would be absolutely perfect in Spring or Autumn. Because I feel the cold more than others, it would be ideal to wear a bolero, shrug, cardigan etc with it but you may not need to. In winter times, I choose to wear it with a fur coat. I do wear it open as seen in the image to allow everyone to see the gorgeous print and again (I can't reiterate this enough), the blistering cold will not pierce through to your skin during winter!

Next: Details of the dress. It features a Peter Pan collar, a cute little touch reminiscent of the early eras. It also comes with a 1'' wide poplin slide belt with poplin covered buckle in the blue floral print itself!!! To me this is an extra bonus! How many garments do you have where it comes with a belt AND is the same print as the dress!? This is the first I own and I don't think I've come across any garments like that before. You can either wear Dee Dee with the accompanying belt or without (see photo above and below, can you even tell?). Or even an different belt. To me, because it's so fitted in the waist I don't really need the belt. It's more for aesthetic. Minor details I've discovered with the belt: as this is a slide belt and not one with metal fasteners that you slide through holes in the material, I do find that it slowly loosens on its own and I need to readjust it from time to time. As a consequence, because the majority of the belt is white, it does get a bit dirty quicker because of the readjustments. But as I say, this is a minor issue. Now if you happen to lose this belt (HOW COULD YOU!?), you can purchase it separately in the accessories part of the website.

The dress features a side zipper which is about 30cm (12''). I know this will be a godsend to some of you who eagerly await the release of the Spinsters Friend or the return of your significant other to do your back zip up. So this is a dress you can get into - assistance free!!!

Another feature are the faux decorative buttons - too covered in blue floral! EVERYTHING IS BLUE FLORAL. Again, this is an extra nice touch for me because Pinup Girl could have totally half assed it and put on white faux buttons or something similar but we all know that is not the Pinup Girl way.

Rounding off the dress are short cap sleeves and a full circle skirt. The sleeves are a perfect length - not very long but are long enough to hide your underarms. That is if you're weird like me and allowing your underarms to show kinda scares you too. Now the second best thing of the dress (after the print) is the full circle skirt. If you're like me then you think the bigger, the better!!! The skirt has enough material to give it that full effect. It's enough that you can get away without wearing a petticoat. When I do get a petticoat however, I will always wear it with the dress but for now, the natural skirt fullness is more than acceptable.

One thing some of you have had problems with is the wind blowing up your dresses. I'm not saying it definitely won't but I live in one of the windiest cities in the world and I've never had a problem. Maybe it's the heaviness of the skirt or maybe because of where it sits on me. Still, I wear a pair of cute shorts underneath just in case.

You will find you can wear this dress absolutely anywhere. I wear it to lectures (damn right I'm the best dressed in my class), to the post office, or when I go out to a nice bar. I even watched some old ladies line dance in this dress and not once ever, have I felt over dressed or under dressed. I would even wear it to a wedding. Dee Dee is more than pretty enough for any event or place and if it's somewhere where you don't need to be dressed up... well you're just going to be the best dressed person in the room without looking like you shouldn't be there.

One last thing to consider... if you're on the fence about this dress or any garment, chances are you will love it more in person! I was torn between this and the Birdie in Floral Red (my next purchase) but settled on the Dee Dee as it was about to sell out. I wanted the Birdie a lot more and was no where near in love with the Dee Dee as much. That all changed when I tore off the packaging and wore it for the first time.

Dee Dee dress available in 3 colour ways: red with black trim, black with baby blue trim and my favourite, blue and violet floral.

I absolutely love the Dee Dee too! Thank you for pointing out the other colors. The blue floral is definitely my favorite as well, but I might need to add the black...

The dress is perfect on you.  Love the sweater too. :)
