I have had a crush on the Ava Dress for months. The shakira satin looks so rich in the photos that I felt I couldn't justify purchasing it - where would I wear it? However, a jade green one in a size small popped up in the PUG Swap/Sell and I knew I had to have it. It appeared at my door quickly and in great condition (thanks, L.A.!). It's truly an amazing dress.

Let's start with the fit. My measurements are 36"-26.5"-37". Based on the size chart, I am a size small, except for the bust. The waist fits perfectly once the sash is tied correctly (thanks for the video!), and the drape over my hips is right on the money. The bust is a little bit tight, but I just sort of moved my bra around until everything could breathe. It gives me a little extra cleavage, which is never a bad thing ;-) Usually when dresses are tight around my bust, they are tight in the armpit/arm region, but it's very comfortable there.

The material is just as luxurious as in the website photos, and feels so smooth against my skin. The jade green color is to die for. Another great quality dress by PUG!

I love how detail-oriented the design of this dress is. The fit is universally flattering to all shapes. The Ava is so elegant and classy, but there's a subtle hint of sex appeal. The not too deep V-neck and waist-cinching sash are executed perfectly.

At 5'4", the length is just below the knee. The skirt part is actually a wrap, so I can show a little extra leg if I really want to.

I'm in love with this dress. I'm just waiting around for an opportunity to wear it out! And then I'll just have to buy it in teal...and plum...and tangerine...

That color looks wonderful on you; and works particularly well with your hair.  (I have the "burnt gold" version of that dress that is also really nice.)
