I just bought the military dress and though a medium fits me well (36-32-36) the arms are cutting off my circulation. I have been trying to reach PUG to exchange but nothing I am doing is working. This is the FIRST dress I have ordered.

Are other dresses like this?

How do I exchange this dress?

What can I do so this doesn't happen in the future?

Any other suggestions?

I have very large, muscular forearms (lots of heavy lifting at work). I have both this dress and 3 Doris tops (same cut). I find if I wear the cuff where it is supposed to fall, it's tight and after a while gets uncomfortable. Since they fit beautifully everywhere else, I push the cuffs up to just above the elbow. Have you worn the dress for any length of time? Most PUG items will stretch a touch with wear (not the cuffs though, nor the waist on many of the skirts). For some people it's enough to make it tolerable. I think just a half inch more would have done the trick for me.

I agree with crystal they are great with customer service and are usually easy to reach. I too have never had a problem with them they have one of the best customer service ever maybe they aren't available on Sundays. I also have muscular arms and forearms it drives me crazy when I want to buylong sleeve shirts or dresses. I have the Doris top in white and that one fits great but a bit snug on my arms as well, but its tolerable. sometimes I have to size up just to get a bit of extra room in my arms it sucks lol I blame my years of weight lifting I use to do.

I've always emailed this asking for a return/refund order #. They have always been good about returns with me. They don't do an exchange but a return. I have always gotten my refund within 3 days but I do send it priority.

I have had this issue with a LOTS of Bettie Paige dresses. The Alika dress by them was the worst! I first tried the XL arms barely got thru the whole then bumped up to the XXL same issue, them the XXXL same issue at that point I gave up since the dress was so big in the waist at an XXL.

I have avoided the shirts & dresses with minimal stretch for this point. I have large arm, a big bust, & large hips. & the dress has to have stretch to fit me. I'm a 48-34-46. I can wear an XL circle in the bengaline but in the straight styles I have to have an XXL.

So "minimal stretch" is the key huh?

Thank so much for the feedback. I wore the dress once and I couldn't wait to get it off. I only had it on 4 hours. A friend suggested having it tailored in the arms with a V cut or something like that. But I'm just not sure yet, exchange or v cut the arms?

it isnt just you, and it isn't a defect in your dress..it's how the dress fits.

a few people have made alterations (removed the banding/replaced it) for a more comfortable fit.

I have had the same problem with my Irene and Kristine dresses (the arms are smaller)
