Is there a 1940s-1950s style that you would like to see PUG bring to life for your closet?


   I'm sure I'm not alone here when I say that I wish I could find certain styles of clothes that I have seen in classic films and photographs. My love for the dresses, hats, purses, shoes, swimwear and prints inspired by the 1940s and 1950s are the very reason why I stop by Pinupgirlclothing.com.
   Are there any vintage photos, sketches, patterns, or screen shots from favorite classic movies of clothes that you wish you could prance around in? If you wanted to communicate how you wanted specific outfits, accessories of shoes made, what would you do to show your inspiration? Are there any pics out there of vintage clothes that you wish you could have in a different print pattern, color, neckline, etc. ? Please share and maybe your inspirations can become manifestations :)

This hat and polka dot dress with pleated skirt...OOOOH YEEEAAH :) I would love to see this dress style in solid colors too...pastels are my favorite :)


Please PUG surprise me with peekaboo cutout jumpsuits and dresses in varied lengths, colors, and patterns...a chinese blossom print might be pretty cool :)



 

A girl can’t have too many swimsuits either, can she? Can PUG do the Barbie stripes in  other colors too?

Yes on the Capelets! I have been searching for the perfect caplet for years & still haven't found one that's well made. I would love some of the 60's YSL looks from Belle de Jour. It would be perfect for work & play. I love the 60's mod look but hate that they're too short for work.

I would love to get a really glamourous pea coat style coat with a thick fur collar with an hourglass sillouette (sp?). I don't really care for the swing style coats as they do nothing for your body, i feel like im wearing a potato sack lol. None of the vintage repo sites make any real coats that can stand up to a cold winter night and i really hope PUG makes at least one good one for the cold seasons coming up. My perfect coat would be pea coat style, long enough to cover my butt, and have the body made of wool with removable fur trim. But it has to be a nice quality faux fur and a thick collar/sleeve. I was thinking they could even sell different colored trims to attatch to one coat (ex. black coat and have black fur, squirrel colored, beige colored, white, leopard, red, etc that you buy seperately)

 

I really like this one, but i wish it had buttons instead of the tie wrap, and its fur over the whole coat.

I like this one but it is more of a trench coat style and a little long.

I like this one, but it also has the tie wrap and my dream coat would be a shorter pea coat, like the length of the 1st coat.

PUG Please make a hybrid coat and I will be forever grateful!!!!

I would love a simple sexy versitile top with a flared pelum style bottom or waist that can be worn with anything!!!! In some basic colors!!!! This style is super flattering for hiding a tummy and creating or accentuating hips but i havent found any in basic colors or everyday wearable fabrics.
