Well here I go again, trying to arrange something. Those of you who have been there, already know what a wonderful place the Cicada Club is. It is located in Downtown LA at the Oviatt Building. It is a glorious looking location and it is a wonderful place to dress to the nines.

The British swing band, The Jive Aces will be returning to play to play there on Friday, April 11th. They are a really fun band to listen and dance to. (Their affiliation with a particular "religious" organization is something I just chose to ignore.) They play lots of Louis Prima songs and his daughter Toni will once again be singing some numbers with the band.

Advance tickets for the club are $20 with a $2.10 service charge. One can choose to dine at the club. The food is quite good. But it is a bit pricey. With dinner reservations one is guaranteed a seat. But the upstairs balcony has some seating. I plan on getting to the club early to try to grab at least a few of the upstairs seats. The band begins at 9 PM. But I will try to get there whenever the doors will open. As the time draws closer I will call the club to get the details. Cicada Club has valet parking. If you are lucky you can shag street parking. And there is reasonably priced parking under Pershing Square.

I was initially going to suggest that this be a Girls' Night Out. But I think that you should do what you want, bring your partner, come solo or come in a group. If you want to really get a chance to hang out, come as early as possible. I think that we could all wear PUG, but of course that is not a requirement.

One more thing. I know that this is the week before VIVA. So I know that may make it difficult for some of you to attend. But we've not had any Meet Ups in quite awhile and I think that we must rectify the situation. If you have any comments, suggestions, etc please let me know.
