I got mine from ebay at $25 each. That was the best deal I could find. Be aware that most of them say they are for country western dancing or some such thing. That threw me at first, but it works out in the end and my PUG dresses look AWESOME with that little extra oomph!

As a vintage stickler, I was so delighted to find a U.S. company that- incredibly- has been around since crinolines were in their 1950's heyday and therefore uses the same equipment, patterns etc. (An unheard-of resource!) And they have had a chance to work all the bugs out of the design in more than 50 years, so you will not find a rough edge, scratchiness, etc. They also support the skirt shape better than chiffon one that might seem to have an appealing fluffy edge but are not your best…

They also support the skirt shape better than chiffon one that might seem to have an appealing fluffy edge but are not your best bet for the overall look.

Nowadays they create petticoats for the square dance community (haha! trust me- you do not want any of those, and they make LOTS of choices, so you need advice to get the right style for a vintage type look!) but they still have their original 50's style that gives you the length you want for a vintage look. That would be about 29" from waist to finished hem so if you wore your skirt 28" you'd get 1 inch shwing at the bottom. They have many lengths, sizes and colors in their 50's style crinoline/ petticoat.

And here is the best part! Since all they do is make crinolines, they are able to make them for a GREAT price! You can get one from: wt.ashleyw@gmail.com.
