Makeup & trying on clothes?

This by all means could be a dumb question but I'm still a newb to so many facets of "dressing up" that when I go shopping (like at the boutique) I'm excited to be getting some more of my fave clothing but I feel a little bad cuz I'm not done up much. The reason is, 1. don't know how to style my hair yet, & 2. I don't have any make up on. Which makes me feel less than my best. (Which I'm tired of feeling & PUG helps me combat.)

The reason I don't wear even lipstick is cuz it  tends to feather & bead up on my mouth for some reason, even after using lipliner & I'm afraid of smudging the beautiful clothing I'm trying on & I don't want to ruin any items that I might not buy for those that do.

 

Then I see all the lovely other ladies trying on PUG in full hair & full make up, lipstick & all! And y'all look gorgeous but I'm just wondering how you do it? How do you try on these clothes (outfit after outfit) without smearing makeup on them & smudging your lipstick & look?

 

Am I missing something?

 

The recent discovery of OCC liptar is giving me hope but still...

Besides that, any rec's for a lip primer & a lip conditioner? The liptars are great but a bit drying & tend to point out if my lips are even a lil dry when on.

SaBreena, it is much more fun to try on clothing when looking ones best. Yes, you have to be a little extra careful. But one of the great things about doing pin up is that it is about looking your best all the time, or as much of the time as possible. I subsribed to a podcast which is no loner produced. but one very good tip I got is that the lip primer from Victoria's Secret works wonders. Nowadays, I always use the primer before applying lipstick.

BTW, I am not sure where you live but if you are in So Cal maybe you can join our Meet Up on July the 13th. We will meet up first at the Pin Up Boutique for shopping.

to be honest if I'm doing anything with trying on clothes I wear my Superstay 24 hour lip color from maybelline, you almost need rubbing alcohol to get it off lol :)

I don't wear much make up but if I want to look more "done up" I'll wear mascara and eyeliner, even eyeliner by itself sometimes and just some lipgloss. Just tuck your lips in when pulling clothes over your head and you should be fine =) Oh and yes, try to join us on the 13th! It's going to be fun!
