Hello everybody !

I'm a new member here, so I don't really know if I need to introduce myself.. I'm french, and I'm really sorry if I make some mistakes in my english..

As I recently began to dress like a pin up, I came here to look for some pieces of advice or whatever I need to really get into the style.. I'm looking for everykind of avdices, but especialy for the hairstyles : it's like my hair doesn't want to be styled :P

Hope you'll like me, and I'm also looking for friends into the style.. I live in London (i'm studying there ^^)

If there's some french people on here, I'm starting a blog : www.somedecadesago.blogspot.co.uk :)

Welcome to Pinup Girl Clothing & Pinup Girl Style Sasha :) We're so glad to have you here!

When I first got here I was extremely clueless when it came to hairstyling too, I still have a lot to learn until I'm in the league of some of the pro's here but they've really helped teach me a lot :)

You could try this video here on putting in pincurls using a curling iron by Cherry Dollface, she has A LOT of amazing tutorials that are really helpful.

I'd love to hear a lot more about what lead you to the pinup look and style if you're ever interested in sharing.

Don't ever hesitate to if you have any more questions to ask :)

I know Cherry Dollface really well actually, but even with her tutorials, it's like my hair doesn't want to stay up with the bobbypins.. :/

Actually, I was wandering on youtube last year, and I watched a video of Cherry Dollface (so she's kind of the one who took me into the pinup look ! :P ) And then I started to buy some dresses and clothes, I already had lots of hair accessories so it was easier, but as I'm on a budget, I can't really buy everything i'd like to.. :/ But I love this look so much, I'm slowly gathering all the things I need to really be a pin up :)

My hair doesn't stay in anything unless I put massive amounts of hair spray on it so I mostly do quick messy buns rather than elaborate hairdo's, but when I do try to make my hair stay put in curls or rolls, it helps if I dont' wash it for two days, and then tease it a bit and run some texturing mouse through it.  Makes my hair a bit thicker so that the bobby pins get more grip. I also use spiral pins rather than straight pins whenever possible.

Once I started doing pinup hairstyles I only wash my hair once a week, I can't do anything with freshly washed hair! It takes practice, but you'll find what works for you, Youtube is for sure my best friend!

Oh boo. I was just in London looking for people into the same style. But I left this morning.
