Garter straps on my Rago waist cincher

Hi! I bought a Rago shaping girdle last year and I bought the style without the garter straps for stockings. I want to add the garter straps now, but I don't how to do that. I guess I'll have to go to a tailor. Is there anything else I need to buy to do this? I think I've read some of you doing this, so that's why I'm turning to you for help. Help! The garter stockings are great. i love that they stay n have a wide lace band. Just be careful cleaning and taking off they will get tangled and making the the right way to wear again is crazier then a tangled necklace
