Event Description

PUG MEET & GREET DOC

NEW DOCUMENT ATTACHED!

For the UK meet I am trying to bring the ladies together, shop at places that support the vintage, pin up girl style, incorporate cocktails and some great locations for us to see. Of course everyone will be dressed up in their own PUG style and make a real occasion of it. This was planned for next year but we have decided to have a mini event this year, a warm up for the big one next year. So how does shopping at some great places, cocktails and going to a show in the evening sound?

Below are the details of the event so far. This will be kept up to date and full itinary will go out to those coming close to the time. There will be a competition for the best dressed, most fabulous lady of the day! Lots of prizes up for grabs offered to us for the most fabulously dressed PUG fan!

  • 10:00 am Meet at Viviene of Holloway London
  • Exclusive 1 hour shop at Viviene of Holloway before the store opens to the public at 11.00am, opened just for us! We will probably be there between 10.00-12.00.
  • A One day discount (TBC on how much).
  • Goody bags for all the girls.
  • Help at style advice from VoH staff. Possibly guest appearance from Vivienne and her to judge competition for best dressed lady...depending on her availabilty TBC.
  • Lunch/drinks stop.
  • Trip to Collectif store. Personal Shopper, 20 %discount etc!
  • Cocktails/dinner.
  • Show!.

Just ordered a VIP ticket for the burlesque show, yay!  Me & Michelle are going to be staying at the Camden Lock Hotel http://www.laterooms.com/en/hotel-reservations/72840_camden-lock-ho... if anyone else is planning on getting a hotel. Loving the work you're putting into the shopping side of things by the way Leanna! :-) x

Hi all, Collectif have done a mini salon/makeover event in their shops on a couple of occasions, if anyone is interested I could ask them if they would consider doing one for during our trip?  Would help us get dolled up for the burlesque but I guess it depends on whether we'd have enough time!  If we are going to visit their Camden shop I could at least ask if they could arrange for a staff member to help us out on the day x

Hey ladies!
Just and update! So I've been looking hard for places for us to shop and this is what I have found:
Of course stops and Viviene of Holloway and Collectif were always on the cards and I'm in discussions to see if we can get the star treatment we need!

I have done some Camden reseach as we will need to be in the area for the evening anyhow and this is what I have found: The Arches at Stables Market are an ideal place to start to look for vintage treats. Here a lane of shops, housed under a Victorian railway viaduct and unseen from the main market area, are crammed to the rafters with retro and vintage clothing. Though most clothing dates from the fifties through to the eighties it is possible to find some 1940’s pieces - certainly shoes and accessories.

The Electric Ballroom, open only on a Sunday, has many more vintage clothing stalls than in the past and is now a definite must visit for bargain hunters.  The mini-emporium Modern Age Vintage has been at the top end of Chalk Farm Road for very many years and sells ballgowns, cocktail and wedding dresses, mens' fancy tuxedos, from 30’s-70’s. Racks of Hawaiian shirts, 50’s suburban living dresses. Tupperware-chic and everything for the teddyboy, and accessories too, this shop has a definite fifties feel to it and offers a hire service.

All in all some pretty cool places to go...and how perfect the market is only open on a Sunday!

For our drinks stop I will need some suggestions but so far found a bar called Joes thats an american rock and roll bar that looks cool. If you know of any other bars/restaurants let me know! :)

Wow, what a great prize, I'm gutted I had to return a Stop Staring dress the other day as I was planning on wearing it!!  I went to Camden last year but didn't go to any specific cocktail bars, but I've found there's a cocktail bar just off the High St called the Fifty Five Bar that does 2 for 1 on a Sunday from 6pm!!
